Boyfriend
OK, so you’ve got a boyfriend and you don’t know what to get him for his birthday, Christmas or just to say you love him. I’m a guy. I can help!
Firstly, lets analyse the above sentence and realise that there are different gifts for different occasions. If the gift is for no particular anniversary but just a spontaneous present to say you love him, it needs to be different to a birthday or Christmas gift. Even though guys are generally not particularly romantic, we do like being reminded that we’re loved and the best gift for that situation is something heartfelt and probably handmade such as a personal note or card. If you’re into dramatic gestures, whisk him away for a romantic picnic or, depending on your budget, a short holiday.
Having got the romantic side of the equation done (phew!), let’s be more practical. You’re probably buying for a birthday or Christmas present and want to know what a guy would like best. Well, I can’t talk for your specific boyfriend, but most of us like sports and gadgets. In the realm of sports, consider whether he’s an armchair athlete watching the TV, in which case some memorabilia of his favourite team or player would be good (check out the signed football memorabilia at Icons.co.uk), as would something to help him watch the TV, like a personalised calendar with the days his team are playing this season written in, gift him a subscription to the TV channel where his team play often (assuming he doesn’t already pay for it), get him something to make him more comfortable watching the TV (a recliner?) or something to make the TV easier to use such as a universal remote control.
If he’s really into sports such as cycling, running or hiking you could consider a heart rate monitor to help him track his fitness, a speed and distance monitor to help him see his progress or maybe a massage seat for relaxing those aching muscles post-exercise!
OK, what if he hates sports? Well, men never grow out of enjoying gadgets, expecially clever ones that do something useful. In that vein you could check out many of the products at this site, from the ATC9K for taking underwater pictures and HD photos to a cool rainbow alarm clock with radio or a weather station such as the WMR88 wireless weather station which is a gadgeteer’s delight as it has a wind sensor, temperature sensors, barometer and even a UV sensor!
We hope you’ve got some gift ideas for your boyfriend from this article. Men aren’t very hard to buy for. If you’re still struggling, just think about what he really loves to do and buy an accessory to help him do it better, quicker, faster or more often!
